Evaluation Q4

This is the kind of person that would watch Struggles Of A Teenage Girl. She likes to skateboard and is into sports.

She likes to listen to R&B and Pop music.
Specifically the audience for my film would be girls because our film is a romantic/comedy and generally, females tend to prefer 'Romcoms' more than males do.

Evaluation Q5

Interview With Shenaya Daley. She's the main actress in the film opening.

Evaluation Q6

Evaluation Q7

I used Camtasia to show how my film skills and editing skills has improved from the beginning.

Research & Planning

For the prelim, we didn't have any sort of proper research in terms of searching on the the internet.
We used a digital camera to take photos for our storyboard. After taking pictures, we uploaded it on the computer and made the storyboard on screen.
Here are some Examples:

For the film opening, we did many research to make our film the best. We did the main research on the internet. We researched for things like the Ident and finding out what kind of a teen film we wanted to do.
Ident
For the planning, we made a handmade storyboard instead of doing it digitally. After making the storyboard, we used the laptops to take pictures with the webcam and after that, we uploaded it on the blog.

Reflecting on how my skills have developed

I did media back in school and even though i had done media in school, i never done filming. We only learnt how to make magazine and so starting the whole filming business was quite daunting. I was nervous about what i'd have to learn and felt that i wouldn't be able to do what i always saw on TV.

Despite feeling nervous, i was determined to learn. We started off making our prelim. This was pretty much my first time filming something and so i wasn't sure how to do it. We learnt the basic things we needed to know such as keeping the camera still etc.
However this wasn't enough to make sure that our film opening was of the best quality.

As the months went on by, we started learning about all these different types of softwares we could use to make our film and also give us unlimited advantage to make our film the best.

So by the time we had to make our film opening, after watching a few examples and studying how an actual film opening starts; we knew that we were ready.

Skills that i have learnt are how to use the softwares such as Motion, Prezi, Camtasia, Final Cut Pro etc.
Final Cut Pro helped me to edit my film opening.
I was able to do things like Transitions and Split Screen
I did not know how to use any of these softwares and after getting demonstrations in class and a little bit of practice; i finally got the hang of using them. Learning how to use these Apps, has really helped me make my film opening much better than the prelim.

You can really see the difference between the prelim and the final production.

Prezi is a more sophisticated way of presenting something.
We used Prezi to present our pitch about our film opening.
Not only did we learn how to use the softwares but we also learnt things like jump cuts and match cuts. This helped us make our film flow seamlessly.
Another thing that i learnt how to do is
panning. Learning these skills has made our film opening more professional than how our prelim was when we started.

Panning&Cutting

Mise en scene is something that i learnt through doing research about teenage film.
In my film opening, i have portrayed what i have learnt from research.
the character is a teenage outcast.
The use of the camera has helped portray the type of person shis.
Through Mise En Scene, her character is reflected.
